This is a short policy overview from Cabinet and DGFT materials. It is not a guarantee of eligibility, disbursal timing, or scheme cutovers for your firm.

The Export Promotion Mission (EPM) is the Cabinet-approved umbrella Indian exporters should watch for 2025-31 trade-finance and market-access support. It was announced in Union Budget 2025-26 and approved by Cabinet on 12 November 2025.

Official outlay and timeline

Per the PIB Cabinet release (also mirrored on pmindia.gov.in):

Two sub-schemes (as described by PIB)

  1. NIRYAT PROTSAHAN - trade finance tools such as interest subvention, factoring, collateral guarantees, credit cards for ecommerce exporters, and credit enhancement (per the Cabinet release summary).
  2. NIRYAT DISHA - quality and compliance, branding and packaging, trade fairs, warehousing and logistics, inland transport reimbursements, and trade intelligence / capacity building (per the same release).

PIB also describes EPM as consolidating or aligning support such as the Interest Equalisation Scheme (IES) and Market Access Initiative (MAI) with contemporary needs. Do not assert that a prior scheme was abolished on a specific date unless a separate notification says so. Confirm operational details on the live DGFT page.

Who implements it?

DGFT is the implementing agency. The Cabinet materials describe a digital platform covering application to disbursal. Re-open the DGFT EPM page at publish for live how-to steps and forms.
