Amazon Seller Help and programme T&Cs override this summary. This post covers requirements before listing. It is not a fee deep-dive and does not target fee-calculator queries. For fee modelling, use the companion fees article and /tools/fee-calculator.

Amazon Global Selling is Amazon's ecommerce export programme for Indian sellers who want to register and sell on Amazon's global stores. Before you load inventory, get documents, bank details, and a fulfilment plan straight.

Markets

Amazon's India hub states that sellers can register for 18 global marketplaces (Amazon also writes "18+" in places). Regions named on the hub include North America (US, Canada, Mexico), Europe (Germany, UK, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Poland, Netherlands), Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia), and Asia-Pacific (Australia). Re-read the live count when you register: Amazon Global Selling India.

Documents before you register

From the hub FAQ and registration guide, expect inputs such as:

You do not need an Amazon.in selling account first.

The registration guide also notes that the Professional plan ($39.99/month) is charged on the card after registration/verification when you access Seller Central. Date-stamp that figure. Full fee taxonomy belongs in the fees post and the calculator tool, not here.

Fulfilment choices

  1. MFN: You or your 3PL ship to the customer.
  2. FBA: Inventory sits in Amazon fulfilment centres.
  3. SEND: For FBA sellers, Amazon documents a partnered-carrier path from India to global FCs, including customs handling as described on the hub.

Pick fulfilment only after you understand category rules, expiry (for food), and inbound cost.

India-side compliance still applies

IEC, shipping bill, GST LUT/bond where eligible, HS classification, and product licences still apply. Amazon Export Navigator is guidance, not a substitute for DGFT/customs advice.

Categories Amazon highlights

Amazon lists example categories such as home textiles, apparel, health and personal care, Ayurveda-related goods, tea/spices/coffee, toys and sports, leather, beauty, and more. Each can need destination-specific licences. Check compliance before you load inventory.

New-seller incentives

Amazon advertises time-bound new-seller incentive packages on the India hub. Treat them as promotional with T&Cs and eligible marketplaces. They are not a permanent referral-fee cut. Re-read the live module on publish day.
